Launch guide
Connect SkillHunt to Claude Code or Codex, add the launch skill, and say "launch my skill on SkillHunt". Your agent drafts the listing, runs before/after test prompts, makes the visuals and submits it once you say yes. Prefer a form? Everything works on the web too.
From your agent
1. Connect the SkillHunt MCP server
Run this in a terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code, pick skillhunt and sign in with your SkillHunt account.
Claude Code: connect
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user skillhunt https://skillhunt.cc/mcp2. Add the launch skill
It teaches your agent the whole launch. Without it, the MCP server's launch_skill prompt does the same job.
Claude Code: install the skill
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/skillhunt-launch && curl -fsSL https://skillhunt.cc/skill/skillhunt-launch/SKILL.md -o ~/.claude/skills/skillhunt-launch/SKILL.md3. Ask for it
In the repo of the skill you want to launch:
Launch this skill on SkillHunt.
You need a SkillHunt account with a finished profile. Your agent never sees your password: sign-in happens in your browser. To disconnect, remove the skillhunt server from your agent; a sign-in it already has keeps working until it expires, within a day.
What a listing needs
From your profile · Shows on: Skill page, cards, newsletter
Every skill is credited to the hunter who listed it. Finish your profile first.
2–60 characters · Shows on: Everywhere
The name people type to find it, usually the repo or package name.
A public URL · Shows on: The Get the skill button
GitHub, npm, skills.sh or a gist: wherever someone installs it from. Each link can be listed once.
Up to 120 characters · Shows on: Cards, lists, newsletter, share card
One line on the result it gives you, not how it works.
80–2000 characters · Shows on: Skill page
What it does, who it's for, and what makes it better than doing it by hand. Plain paragraphs.
80–8000 characters of Markdown · Shows on: Skill page
How to install it and how to use it, with the exact commands and an example prompt. Headings, lists, code and links work; images and HTML don't.
A public URL · Shows on: Skill page
Only if it has a separate docs site.
Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI · Shows on: Cards, skill page
Only the agents you've seen it work in.
1–3 of: Design, Docs, SEO, Video, Data, Testing, DevOps, Writing, Sales, MCP · Shows on: Cards, skill page
The first one is the main category.
user or maker · Shows on: Skill page
Say whether you made it or just use it.
Up to 280 characters · Shows on: Skill page
Your honest reason, in a sentence or two.
A preset, or a square PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 1 MB, 256–2048 px · Shows on: Next to the name everywhere
A colour and an icon from our set, or your own square logo.
0–3, each a prompt (up to 1000 characters) with a before and an after · Shows on: Skill page, under Before and after
The same prompt run without the skill and with it. Each side is text (up to 2,000 characters), an image or video, or both.
